My Story
I feel like God has brought me full circle. I attended a Lutheran elementary school, I
graduated from Lutheran North, and now I am a part of the staff at the CCLS Micro School. I
am doing what I love, and was called to do, educating children. I retired after twenty-three
years of teaching in the Public School System, never being able to teach about God and
unable to entertain any conversations about Him. It is a blessing to be a part of a school
system where Jesus Christ is the center of our purpose.
I was baptized as an infant in the Lutheran Church. As a young adult, I joined a Baptist Church
where I was a member for many years. The very first time I walked into Bethlehem Lutheran
Church, I felt a combination of the Lutheran doctrine that I grew up knowing and Spirit-filled
energy I felt in the Baptist Church. Bethlehem had the perfect mixture and has been my
church home and family for eight years. I have been exposed to and a part of so many of
the ministries at 2153 Salisbury that have helped me, and continue to help me grow as a
Christian. Now I am excited to be a part of a ministry that allows me to help the Christian
growth of the students.
