TAKING JESUS TO THE STREETS
Join us for a 7-week Bible Study Series called Taking Jesus to the Streets, where we’ll explore seven powerful appearances of Jesus after His resurrection. Each week, we’ll dive into a different encounter that shows how the risen Christ meets His people—in their doubts, fears, work, and worship—and sends them out with purpose. Led by Seminarians Chuck and Luke, this series invites us to see how Jesus still shows up in unexpected places and calls us to carry His presence into the streets today.

Taking Jesus to the Streets | He is Risen
April 21st, 2025
In this episode of Taking Jesus to the Streets, Chuck and Luke explore Matthew 28:1–10 and the first resurrection appearance of Jesus. As Mary Magdalene and the other Mary visit the tomb expecting death, they are instead met with life—and a command to go. The discussion unpacks how Jesus meets us in fear, skips over explanations, and sends us with purpose. Together, we reflect on what it means to encounter the risen Christ and how His resurrection compels us to move outward in faith.

March 17th, 2025
We Are the Church That Serves calls us to embody Christ’s love through acts of mercy and outreach. Rooted in Mark 10:45 and James 2:14-17, this week’s reflection challenges us to move beyond words to tangible action—seeing and responding to the needs in our community. True faith is not passive but active, calling us to serve selflessly just as Christ came not to be served but to serve. This week’s challenge urges us to volunteer, identify those in need around us, and cultivate a heart of service in everyday life. As we serve, we not only meet physical needs but open doors for deeper conversations about faith, showing the world the transforming power of the gospel through love in action.

We Are the Church for All People invites us to reflect God’s vision for a unified and diverse Church. Revelation 7 paints a picture of worshipers from every nation, tribe, and language gathered before the throne. Colossians 3 reminds us that in Christ, all dividing lines fade—we are one body. This week challenges us to welcome others fully, honor different cultures, and create a community where no one feels excluded. When we live this out, our church becomes a glimpse of heaven on earth.
We Are the Church That Moves Forward | Bethlehem Lutheran Church
March 31st, 2025
We Are the Church That Moves Forward invites us to see the road ahead not as something to fear, but as a path God is already preparing. Ephesians 4 calls us to walk in a manner worthy of our calling—with humility, patience, and love—anchored by unity in Christ. In John 17, Jesus prays that His followers would be one, just as He and the Father are one, so that the world might believe. This week challenges us to move forward together—united in spirit and mission. As we grow as a multi-campus church, we’re invited to ask: Where is God leading us? How can we invest in the future He’s building? When we pursue unity and step forward in faith, our church becomes a living witness of the hope we have in Christ.
We Are the Church In Hard Places | Walnut Park
April 7th, 2025
We Are the Church in Hard Places invites us to see the presence of the church in struggling neighborhoods not as a burden, but as a calling. In places marked by fear, instability, or need, Psalm 46 reminds us that God is a refuge and strength, even when the world feels like it’s falling apart. Isaiah 58 calls the people of God to pour themselves out for the afflicted and become restorers of broken places. This week challenges us to remain rooted in difficult spaces—not retreating, but standing firm, serving, and shining Christ’s light where it’s needed most.
We Are the Church That Lives The Mission | Bethlehem Lutheran Church
April 14th, 2025
We Are the Church That Lives the Mission brings our series full circle, calling us to move from learning into living. Grounded in the Great Commission (Matthew 28), the call to be doers of the Word (James 1), and the prophetic instruction to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God (Micah 6), we reflect on how faith must lead to action. Whether it’s sharing the gospel with someone in your life, serving in your neighborhood, or making a small change in your daily rhythm, we are reminded that the Church’s mission doesn’t stop when Sunday worship ends. We carry Christ into every corner of our lives. This week is an invitation to examine how we can respond to God’s calling with courage, compassion, and commitment—not just once, but as a way of life.
